Ridgeway National Trial

Compton is located very close to the Ridgeway National Trial, described as Britain's oldest road. With many paths, by-way's and tracks leading from the village to the beautiful downs - there is lots to explore. We can supply information of walking routes (based on years "Yokel" knowledge) so hopefully you wont get lost up there!

Fancy a flutter? Why not spend the day at Newbury Races! With meetings throughout the year a day at the races is an excellent way to relax and have some fun. We can arrange transport to and from the Racecourse - and if you're lucky, the odd tip....

Didcot Railway Centre

Whether you're a steam-buff, like all things mechanical, or an avid Thomas the Tank engine fan - Didcot Railway Centre is a great day out for all the family. Unfortunately the railway to Didcot from Compton has long since closed - but never less, its only a 20 minute drive to Didcot. Look out for steam days and special events.
